John Goodhind lives in Hastings, and works in a variety of media. His current interest is in watercolour and the urban landscape. Watercolour is a challenge: it demands a forthright approach, and a keen observation of shape and tone to capture the essence of the subject. For John, it is the perfect medium for his interest in capturing the light and character of the New Zealand rural and built environment. He teaches Art and Design at Taradale High School.
